"Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine solid needles (acupuncture needles) are inserted into anatomically defined neurofunctional sites, and stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system and/or the endocrine, exocrine and immune systems, in pain syndromes, functional problems, and any diseases in which these modulatory mechanisms are available. Neuromodulation occurs through neurological and neurohumoral mechanisms at multiple levels, namely: peripheral nerves, spinal cord, brain stem, brain and cerebellum."

Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy can provide a range of benefits for the body and mind; including pain relief, muscle tension and stress reduction, while promoting relaxation. Other benefits are calming the nervous system, improving blood and lymphatic flow by increasing oxygen delivered to the tissues, while also aiding in the removal of toxins, waste, and boosting immunity which plays a vital role in defending against illnesses and diseases. Additionally, Massage Therapy enhances mental clarity, reduces mental fatigue and enhances overall cognitive function. Our unique approach "may" involve other complementary therapies or modalities, such as aromatherapy, acupressure, or Reiki. For example, our Massage Therapists may use various techniques to promote relaxation and overall calmness by applying pressure to specific points on the body to release any existing tension to improve energy flow. We may also incorporate breath-work or visualization techniques to help clients connect better with their bodies and promote healing at a deeper level. By tailoring our approach to each individual client's needs and preferences, our Massage Therapists can create a unique and effective treatment plan that may address various concerns, such as physical and emotional to name a couple.
